Hurry before we sell out!

Edward St. John Gorey's creatures and characters are so fascinatingly diverse, so charmingly bizarre that they have attracted devotion of fans for decades. Gorey (American, 1925-2000) published more than one hundred works, designed sets and costumes for the stage, and had a profound affection for ballet, literature, film, and animals. All of Gorey's characters inhabit an enigmatic, often vaguely Edwardian world, where human foibles and frailties are deftly assuaged by witty flights of fantasy.

This calendar's illustrations include L'Ours, Les Insectes Cyclistes, and an untitled work involving a Christmastime crocodile, as well as drawings made for The Tunnel Calamity, The Doubtful Guest, The Osbick Bird, and the beloved opening credits for the PBS series Mystery!, plus five more. Their characters populate Edward Gorey's famously particular, peculiar worlds.
